We value the importance of making links to our local community here in Whangarei. As part of our early learning curriculum we like to get out and explore what our local area has to offer.

• A group of four year olds attend swimming lessons at the Whangarei pools once a week each term where they build water confidence, independence and gross motor skills.

• Once a month we have the library bus come to our centre, we get to go into the bus and choose books for our library.

• We also do walks in our local area, visits to the SPCA, shows and more.
